For those of you not in the know here are a few words to enlighten you:

This is a Luca award for ‘best practice of the year’ representing the Oscars for bookkeepers!
The ICB Luca Awards are exclusive bronze statuettes of Luca Pacioli, the Cistercian monk who is credited with inventing the process of double entry bookkeeping. Luca Pacioli’s 1494 book, “Summa de Arithmetica, Geometria, Pproportioni et Proportionalità” contains the first written record of the process and warns of the need for good record keeping;

It quotes :-

“If you are in business and do not know all about it,
your money will go like flies, that is, you will lose it.”

Luca Pacioli Cistercian monk

This is a tremendous attribute to the team we have here at ‘Bookkeepers in Buckingham’ (BiB). Just to briefly complete the picture, Julie Austen worked as a sole trader for over 25 years till she joined forces with her youngest son Laurie and they set up the Ltd company ‘Bookkeepers in Buckingham’ together. It was 2 years exactly from the formation of that company that they won this prestigious and coveted award, sponsored by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. A magnificent tribute to the team we have here at BiB. To date BiB has 5 permanent staff and 3 sub-contractors working under them. Each member is developing their attributes to specialise in their own field alongside bookkeeping, whether it be marketing, purchase ledger or sales ledger. That way we keep all of our client’s needs covered.

BiB have also just moved to new premises to accommodate their growing needs and to be in a position to offer client’s additional services – the move is almost complete! We are only minus a phone line & broadband temporarily but… we have a kettle so we will work!

Finally BiB are pleased to announce a fabulous £55 was raised from the raffle held at our office Open Evening earlier this month. BiB have increased this donation to £125 and we have made the donation to UNICEF who are working with children to fight Ebola. A fantastic cause I am sure you will agree.

Lastly, A really special Thank You, …… to all our clients for believing in us, and we hope that you feel justified. We promise to continue to give you our best ….The best!
